Thoughts About A Rose...

Sitting here inside, grateful to have a roof over my head, warmth around me and yummy tea. A contradiction to the outside storm. Still, I am even grateful for the storm brewing outside, with its rain to ready the earth for the planting and growing season. My mind wanders to this week's podcast episode, "Love Yourself, The Art of Body Positivity" and life. My thoughts keep bringing to mind, a rose. A rose is vibrant and warm, with petals that are as soft as velvet, and a frangrance so sweet and divine, even memorable. Yet with this beauty a rose may bring pain. Thorns that in their own way add splendor to the rose, but if not careful, cause pain. I could go on discribing one of earth's beautiful creations, but I think that discription shows enough. Our relationship with ourselves, thinking positively about ourselves, and loving ourselves is much like the rose. And the rose is also much like life.
